เกิดเมื่อปี 1963 ที่เมืองจีหลง ไต้หวัน เขาเป็นที่รู้จักในนาม “Mr.Rabbit” กว่า 30 ปีที่เขาได้อุทิศตนให้กับภาพประกอบตำราเรียนของไต้หวัน เคียงข้างทุกการเรียนรู้และการเติบโตของเด็กๆในไต้หวัน เขาพูดได้เต็มปากเลยว่า “ผมอาจจะมีผู้อ่านเยอะที่สุดเลยล่ะ!” ด้วยรูปแบบและผลงานที่หลากหลาย ปัจจุบันเขาได้มุ่งเน้นไปที่การสร้างสรรค์หนังสือภาพ ตัวอย่างผลงานยอดนิยม เช่น “ราชาสกปรก” “มาปั่นจักรยานกันเถอะ” เป็นต้น ผลงานของเขาได้รับการแนะนำจากกระทรวงวัฒนธรรมให้เป็นสื่อการสอนนอกหลักสูตรที่ดีเยี่ยมสำหรับเด็กชั้นประถมศึกษาและมัธยมศึกษา และได้เข้ารอบสุดท้ายของรางวัล Golden Tripod Awards หมวดหมู่หนังสือสำหรับเด็กและเยาวชน ครั้งที่40
1963年出生於基隆市，又被稱作「兔子先生」(Mr. Rabbit)。致力於臺灣教科書插畫三十多年，伴隨臺灣兒童學習、成長，他曾自豪地說「我的讀者可能是最多的！」。風格廣泛、作品多元的他，現階段專注於圖畫書創作，《髒兮兮國王》、《一起來騎腳踏車》等著作膾炙人口。其作品曾榮獲文化部中小學生優良課外讀物推介、教育部Bookstart選書等，並獲選第四十屆金鼎獎兒童及少年圖書獎入圍。
Yen, Kai-Hsin also known as "Mr. Rabbit", was born in Keelung in 1963. He was an illustrator for Taiwanese school textbooks for over 30 years. Most of the children in Taiwan grew up with his works, and is proud to say that he had "the most readers in Taiwan". He has wide drawing styles and produced diverse artworks in the past. Now, he focuses on picture book drawing. His previous works include "The Dirty Emperor", "Bicycle" and others. Some of his works were recognized and recommended by the Ministry of Culture (Taiwan) for excellent elementary and junior high school publications, Bookstart Recommended Books by the Ministry of Education (Taiwan), and others. He was also nominated for the 40th Golden Tripod Awards for Children's Picture Book Awards.
